Woo! Last sketch completed!

This would be Satari's first outfit EVAR. Kind of. Because the actual pic I drew when I was 12 is in California. But. This is it for the most part.

Obsessing over Metal Gear still (as I will be for the rest of my puny human life). I'm pretty sure I was just getting into Inuyasha. I don't think she had a weapon for this outfit, but the pose called for it, dammit.

Yay for ultra n00b spikey shoulder pads. XD

Hmm... some history! Definitely obssessing over Inuyasha at this period. I'm pretty confident that Van Helsing was coming out as well, so Satari was of course, half lycan, half vampire. I can't remember why I was so inspired to draw her itty bitty bits of cloth for clothing, but, I did it. She was also a crazy I-kill-everying kinna gal. The chain sickle was inspired by Kohaku from Inuyasha.

And uhhh yeah. Enjoy some whore-ish lookin' Satari!

Aside from the fact that today NEVER wanted to end, it was a pretty good day!

Finally finished reading my CS manual. Before "holy crap, it took you 4+ months to read a book?" I took notes vigorously and like.. reread each chapter. My test will be on Dec. 1st. BRING IT.

I was also informed that our sister hospital needs help! Their overtime is too much and they need to pass the hours to others! 8D So, hopefully I won't have to worry so much about my second week of my vacation!

Satari Poster

1/3 posters I'm making for my mom of Satari. She wanted a like.. an evolution of her in posters.

Satari's been my brain baby since I was 12. She's baiscally the character I picked on when bad shit was happening. She was a demon, then a vampire and a werewolf, now I think, she's just a werewolf. XD

Here she is, as current as she will ever be; Zombie Apocalypse Satari.

 She is a full-fledged Artic Werewolf. She was born in an Inuit tribe in Alaska. When she became older, she left the tribal life and joined the Marines. Her sharp eyes and keen hunting senses got her into Scout Sniper School, where she passed among the best. She would later be used in Black Ops and then became a mercanery for hire. One mission sent her to Russia, where she fell in love with the Dragunov, now her sniper rifle of choice.

When the zombie virus hit, Satari was sent with a group to investigate the lab where the outbreak happenend in hopes of finding clues for a cure. In a fire fight between her group and a horde of zombies, infected blood splashed into her left eye. The on field medic, Dr. Hale Diedrich had to perform immediate surgery, and removed her eye. This stopped the infection from spreading.

Though missing an eye, she is still an excellent sniper.

Trigger Sketches

Sooo... I have a co-worker who is absolutely obsessed with horses. Her birthday is coming up, and her favoritist horsey ever is Trigger; a palomino.

I've tried to read up on/watch videos of Trigger's behavior to see what would be better. I really wanted to do a "different" horse picture rather than the same 'ol reared up horse but.. that seems to be Trigger's trademark XD

Epic Rant/ Update

Day Off Doodle(s)

Had a day off yesterday.  I'll probably rant about that later, but until then, here are some pin uppy doodles!

I will be working on various pin ups for the next few.. weeks? Months? Something. They'll be hanging/sitting everywhere in our apartment as 8 X 10's. Some will be fully rendered, others will be more graphic line art styled.

Either way, I NEED to find time to doodle regularly. I spent 4 hours doodling and I had a LOT more done than these two, but I had sooo many ideas, I kept erasing and doing something new. Driving me crazy.

Subject: Rant

Lately I've felt insignificant, like I'm just a speck in this world, simply exsisting, nothing more. Not that I want to be a famous somebody, but I feel like I haven't done anything worth knowing about...

I am extremely lucky to have the Fiance I have, my family, my friends, a decent paying job in this economy and now finally our own apartment, free of future roomate cooties. I should be estatic for the state I'm currently in but... I'm not.

Since I've moved to Ohio, my passion for art has only grown. I'm pretty sure had I stayed in Cali, my art progress would have stopped. I would have never opened commissions. However, opening commissions wasn't enough and I finally had to get a real job. I'm not employed full time working 5 days a week and on call every 4th weekend. I'm currently studying to get certified which must be completed by the end of this year. And then hopefully once I'm certified, I'll be attending school part time in winter quarter. Add ferret responsibilities and trying to keep a boderline cabin-fevered Fiance from going insane, leaves very little room for art.

And then I look at my best friend, who is in a similair situation... And she can pump out art like nothing. I've always been envious of her speed. I may not want it for full cg pieces, but to at least get clean ideas out? That would be amazing.

She's progressing so quickly in her art I'm just.. extremely jealous. I just pump the same mediocre shit. There is so much I need to learn that I have no idea where to start. There are so many things I need to improve on, I don't know what to do first. Master what I know, or learn more things.

I feel like I want to do something with my art. I want to be known for it. I never thought to take on an art major because I didn't think I would go so far.

*Sigh* I don't think there was a point of this journal. Just writing shit to get it out of my head.

Behind the Eye Patch [WARNING]

THE FOLLOWING IS NOT SUITABLE FOR THE SQUEEMISH.

Satari's team was one of the first in the military to respond to the zombie outbreak. Thankfully the early virus strain took much longer to infect. During a fire fight, blood from an infected individual splashed into her left eye. Emergency enucleation had to be done on the spot by the on field medic. She never had time to get a glass eye, so a patch would suffice.

I was actually inspired by a surgery that happened yesterday at work that I would have looooved to have seen; an enucleation. I started thinking how Satari's left eye actually looks like... I knew that her surgery was on the spot to avoid infection.. so definitely no glass eye available. Being the gross person I am, I dig the empty eye socket. I will probably have to redesign her patch so she's not so succeptable to y'know, regular infection.

I don't know what the deal is. But I sure as hell need to quit it. Maybe I'll make a bunch of line arts and see if anyone will color them for me to hopefully motivate my inner colorist. Or something.
